Course Overview:

Embark on a language learning journey to master elementary Mandarin Chinese! This 10-week program offers comprehensive language instruction and cultural immersion, catering to learners at different levels. HSK 1 is designed for absolute beginners (open to all), while HSK 2 builds on foundational knowledge for those who have completed HSK 1, helping them advance their proficiency in elementary Mandarin.

What Will This Course Offer:

HSK-1 (Beginner Level)
Perfect for absolute beginners! This course covers basic vocabulary, simple sentence structures, and everyday conversational Chinese.

HSK-2 (Elementary Level)
For learners with some foundation in Chinese. This level builds on HSK-1 by introducing more vocabulary, grammar patterns, and practical communication skills for everyday situations.

Certification

Students who attend a minimum of 70% of classes will receive a certificate of completion.

  • HSK 1: PKR 29,500
  • HSK 2: PKR 39,500
How to Register & Payment Method:

2. Select "LUMS Events" and choose "Chinese Language Course" from the list
3. Fill out the registration form and click "Save and Submit."
4. Once registered, go to "Manage Events" to locate your registration
5. Under "Action," download your voucher, and refer to the "Mode of Payment" section on page three for payment instructions. 
6. Proceed to Pay.

Instructor

Hui Qi has an MPhil in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS, a postgraduate certificate in Hotel Management from Hotel Institute Montreux, Switzerland, and a Bachelor’s in Financial Management from Dong Hua University, China. She is now a PhD student in the Management Program at Suleman Dawood School of Business, LUMS. Her research revolves around the Chinese language, ancient Chinese philosophy, education and CPEC. She brings real-world experience from the commercial and banking sectors. She has taught Chinese language in Pakistani universities for ten years. She has been the Vice President of the Chinese Business Council in Pakistan since 2021.

Refund Policy

Refunds will only be issued if the Centre for Chinese Legal Studies (CCLS) cancels a course. Under no other circumstances will refunds be provided.
