CCLS & Chinese International Academy MoU signing ceremony: Promoting Cultural Exchange and Academic Collaboration

LUMS

The first week of February marked a significant milestone as the CCLS team and Lahore Chinese International Academy came together to sign a MoU symbolizing our team efforts towards fostering collaboration and cross border exchange in language and culture.

Among the various initiatives discussed in the meeting, the most appealing prospect is the joint effort to invite primary and secondary students to participate in a summer camp called ‘Chinese Bridge Summer Camp’ held by Jiangxi University of Science and Technology in Ganzhou, China. This endeavor aims to provide students with an immersive learning experience while preparing them to pass their HSK1 and HSK2 exams. By combining academic training with practical exposure, we hope to equip students with valuable language skills and cultural insights that will serve them well in their future endeavors.

In addition to academic pursuits, the discussions also ventured into the realm of cultural exchange and experiential learning. The idea of organizing a tour to Khunjerab, followed by a cross border excursion to Kashgar in China was explored. Such experiences not only offer academic value but also enrich students’ cross-cultural insights.

Furthermore, the two teams planned to host a delightful event where we will fuse the rich culinary traditions of both countries aiming to foster and build lasting friendships between the institutions. Lastly the teams planned to incorporate Chinese Calligraphy into their collaborative efforts. Through the strokes of the brush, the students will not only learn to appreciate the aesthetics of Chinese characters but also gain insight into the rich cultural heritage of China.
