East Meets Quest Gaming Stall at Sports Carnival’24, LUMS

LUMS

The Centre for Chinese Legal Studies made a vibrant and engaging presence at the Sports Carnival '24, LUMS, with the establishment of the "East Meets Quest" gaming stall on January 3rd, 2024. This innovative initiative aimed to blend entertainment with education, providing students from all over Pakistan a unique platform for interaction and engagement.

LUMS

Our stall became a focal point for participants, attracting employees, students, alumni, and esteemed delegates from various universities across Pakistan. A total of 943 students from various academic institutes of Pakistan like Denning Law School, Karachi; Agha Khan University, Karachi; Lahore School of Economics; Szabist, Islamabad; IMSciences, Peshawar; Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences; Bahria University and Fast Nuces, Lahore etc., attended the Sports Carnival. The interactive nature of the games facilitated meaningful conversations and networking opportunities. Attendees had the chance to affiliate themselves with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through puzzles and other minute-to-win-it games. This approach proved to be an effective and enjoyable way to raise awareness about Chinese Legal Studies and foster a deeper understanding of its significance in the contemporary world.

We were also honored to welcome Ho Yuk Bing, Vice Principal at the Lahore Chinese International Academy, and her esteemed colleague to our stall. Their visit added prestige to our event.

CCLS extends heartfelt thanks to the Sports at Lahore University of Management Sciences (SLUMS) and the Office of Sports Wellness and Recreation (SWR) for their invaluable contributions to the success of our gaming stall. The Centre for Chinese Legal Studies remains committed to creating such immersive experiences that contribute to a broader understanding of Pakistan-China relations and provides ample networking opportunities to the wider community.
