CCLS Strengthens Collaboration with Punjab China Desk to Enhance Academic and Business Ties
On March 6th, 2025, the Centre for Chinese Legal Studies (CCLS), Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) at LUMS, held a follow-up meeting with Mr. Jalal Hassan, Head of Punjab China Desk and Senior Economic Advisor at the Industries, Commerce & Investment Department, Government of Pakistan, to further develop a strategic partnership plan aimed at strengthening ties with Chinese businesses and academic institutions.
The discussion centered on establishing research collaborations, facilitating knowledge exchange, and creating internship and professional opportunities for LUMS students at the Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT). This partnership will serve as a key bridge for legal, policy, business, and commerce-related knowledge-sharing, ensuring greater engagement between Pakistan and China in these sectors.
By fostering academic-industry linkages, this initiative aligns with CCLS’s ongoing efforts to expand collaborations with Chinese businesses and institutions, contributing to enhanced trade, investment, and research opportunities.
