CCLS, SAHSOL at LUMS Hosts Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Chinese Language Course (HSK-1)

On February 4th, 2025 the Centre for Chinese Legal Studies (CCLS), Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) at LUMS proudly hosted a certificate distribution ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the Chinese Language Course (HSK-1). The event recognized participants who demonstrated dedication in acquiring foundational Chinese language skills, marking a significant step in their linguistic and professional development. 
 

Certificates were distributed by Dr. Sikander Ahmed Shah, Director of CCLS, and Ms. Hui Qi, language instructor, in recognition of the participants' commitment to learning Mandarin. The course attracted a diverse group of learners, including business professionals, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and academic professionals, reflecting the increasing interest in Chinese language proficiency for both career and cultural enrichment. Designed for beginners, the HSK-1 course covered essential skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking of Chinese characters, enabling participants to engage in basic conversations. 
 

Through initiatives like the Chinese language program, CCLS continues to play a vital role in strengthening people-to-people diplomacy, offering a platform for mutual understanding, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. By equipping individuals with language skills, the Centre aims to enhance connectivity and build bridges between the two nations.
