On February 20th, 2025 the Centre for Chinese Legal Studies (CCLS), Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) at LUMS hosted Mr. Jalal Hassan, Head of Punjab China Desk and Senior Economic Advisor at the Industries, Commerce & Investment Department, Government of Pakistan, along with his team, to explore opportunities for enhancing Pakistan-China cooperation.

The meeting served as a platform to discuss potential partnerships aimed at improving trade, investment, and knowledge exchange between Pakistan and China. Both parties explored strategies to strengthen economic ties and create impactful collaborations that support mutual growth.

As part of CCLS's ongoing efforts to address knowledge gaps in law, policy, business, and commerce, discussions focused on developing specialized training modules and initiatives designed to promote capacity building, foster economic growth, and enhance bilateral trade between the two nations.

This collaboration aligns with CCLS’s mission to foster academic and practical dialogues that bridge gaps between Pakistan and China, promoting deeper trade and investment ties while enhancing mutual understanding in the legal and economic spheres.
