About the Competition

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is vital in fields like law, diplomacy, business, and international relations. This Mediation and Negotiation Competition provides students with a unique opportunity to build essential skills in conflict resolution, strategic thinking, and communication—preparing them to excel in real-world challenges across diverse industries.


Competition Format

  • Timed Negotiation Rounds: The competition will consist of multiple timed negotiation rounds where teams will engage in resolving a dispute scenario.
  • Supervision: Each round will be supervised by accredited mediators who will observe and evaluate the participants.
  • Scoring Criteria: Teams will be scored on their argumentation, negotiation strategies, and ability to work collaboratively, creativity in problem-solving, and overall effectiveness in achieving resolutions.
  • Team Structure: Each team will consist of three students representing their university.
  • Awards and Recognition: The winning team will be awarded for their overall performance.

10,000/- Per Team


Eligibility and Registration

  • Students from all universities in Lahore are invited to participate.
  • Each university can register only one team of three members.
  • Registration fee: PKR 10,000 per team.
  • Registration deadline: December 10th, 2024.

How to Register & Payment Method

  1. Click the registration link 
  2. Select "LUMS Events" and choose "Mediation and Negotiation Competition" from the list
  3. Fill out the registration form and click "Save and submit."
  4. Once registered, go to "Manage Events" to locate your registration
  5. Under "Action," download your voucher, and refer to the "Mode of Payment" section on page three for payment instructions. 
  6. Proceed to Pay.
